This series contains records related to The American Lutheran Church (TALC) involvement with the Lutheran Coordination Service (LCS). The records are from 1973-1982 and were retained by TALC Division for World Mission and Inter-Church Cooperation's (DWMIC) Secretary for Africa, the Rev. James L. Knutson. Rev. Knutson was the TALC representative on the LCS Executive Committee. Types of records include typewritten business correspondence, minutes and reports, and proceedings from consultations. Subject matter includes correspondence from the general secretariat and executive committee regarding various administrative matters; correspondence to and from executive committee members regarding administrative matters or matters for upcoming meetings; correspondence regarding scholarships, the financial situation of the LCS, and budgetary matters.
